The motorcycle collection  at Augustusburg castle is one of the most important and most comprehensive collection sof 2 stroke bikes in Europe

The permanent exhibition offers with its 170 main exhibits on a surface of 800 square meters a comprehensive view at 100 years of motorcycle history. There are 300 bikes ion the possession of the museum.

Most of the important and technically interesting exhibits are there in original. Amongst them unique pieces

(with 5 cylinder star engine 1922)

(longest ever build series motorcycle 1928)

The department two-strokes/bikes from Zschopau (DKW, AUTO UNION, MZ) is unique in the world. There are alternating special exhibitions in the entrance floors.
